ActCel™ hemostatic gauze is used to stop minor to major bleeding. When it comes in contact with blood, it expands to 3-4 to create direct pressure and stop bleeding. Then, it dissolves into glucose and saline over a 1-2 week period. Hemostatic gauze is water-soluble and the gel will wash away when water, saline or hydrogen peroxide is applied.

This product is used by doctors, emergency medical personnel, dentists, veterinarians, and many professional sports teams. But it is just as important to have around the house, when camping, or in the car. ActCel can be vital if emergency services may be delayed in getting to you - it could stop the bleeding and save your life.

Trauma Pads are the same material as other ActCel products, but are four bonded plys that make it more effective for severe bleeding situations.
